In 2025, American sub Nebraska detects a homing beacon of unknown origin. They discover that the signal is coming from a Russian submarine grounded inside a giant undersea cave. The strange thing is that the Russian sub is WWII era, and lying at the foot of what appears to be the ruins of an underwater civilization. The situation gets even stranger when the crew find that most of the Russian crew died of the Bubonic Plague, even though an outbreak can't be detected. Little do the men of the Nebraska know that their troubles are only beginning, as they are soon faced with an outbreak of their own! But what connection is there between this mysterious disease and the underwater city? Getting the answer to this question could cost the lives of every crewman on the Nebraska.
